Unknown vehicle? Unknown parameters? Here’s when support becomes essential

For you, support could be twice as critical—because with our advanced service, you gain more than functionality; you gain an edge over your competition.

Let us explain.

Introducing the FMS Gateway Plus Advantage

Our FMS Gateway Plus device does more than convert CAN data. It also empowers our partners to extract raw CAN signals from unknown vehicle types or  for unfamiliar parameters. The ability to perform vehicle measurements independently gives our partners greater flexibility and control.

Here’s how it works:

1.            The partner collects CAN data from the vehicle using the FMS Gateway Plus and sends the collected data package to us.

2.            Our expert team decodes it and sends back an updated firmware.

3.            With the new firmware, the partner can now decode the vehicle’s CAN data.

This process allows our partners to react quickly, support a wider range of vehicles, and stay ahead of their competitors. But to make this efficient and reliable, world-class support is crucial—and that’s where we shine.

When support becomes critical: The measurement phase

The importance of support becomes even more evident during the measurement phase—especially when dealing with unknown vehicles. Our partners regularly face unique technical challenges, and this is where our dedicated team steps in.

Some typical cases include:

  • Locating the CAN wires in an unfamiliar vehicle: For supported vehicles, we always provide a detailed installation guide. However, when encountering unfamiliar vehicles, our experienced technical staff can often point partners in the right direction based on prior experience.
  • Requesting non-standard parameters: For example, ADAS signals or reverse light status.
  • Capturing state changes: If the fuel level isn’t available, but the partner still needs to measure it directly.
  • Requesting new standard parameters on already known vehicles: Like tracking seatbelt usage in an Actros truck.

In each of these cases, fast, expert support makes the difference between a stalled integration and a successful one.

Why our support is rated 4.9/5

A recent survey gave our support team an impressive 4.9 out of 5 rating. That’s not by accident—it’s the result of our commitment to providing support that truly supports.

Here’s why our clients value our support so highly:

  1. Real people on the other end: No bots—just qualified professionals who understand the context and speak your language.
  2. Fast response times: Most inquiries are answered within 3 hours.
  3. Relevant, actionable answers: Our technicians and engineers offer real solutions, not generic replies.
  4. High-level problem solving: Whether it’s decoding a tricky parameter or helping to locate CAN lines, our team delivers.

Support isn’t just an add-on for us—it’s a core part of the service we provide. In a fast-paced industry where flexibility and time-to-market are key, we offer you support, which gives you a true competitive edge
